Child & Family Therapist

Job Summary:

We provide non-judgemental psychotherapeutic support to children, youth, adults, families, and couples who are experiencing emotional, behavioural, social, and/or relational challenges. We have some of the most talented practitioners working with us, and everyone is always learning from each other.

We are currently seeking part-time Child & Family Psychotherapists to join our team. As a Child and Family Therapist, you would be supporting children, families, and couples who come to LightHouse. Candidates must be fully registered practitioners (RP or RSW). This position is both in-person and virtual.

Expected start date: Winter/Spring 2024

Qualifications & Preferred TraininG

  • Master’s degree
  • Registered with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) or the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW)
  • Minimum 2-3 years’ experience providing child and family psychotherapy
  • Experience and specialization in attachment-based approaches, trauma-informed practices, and Collaborative Problem Solving
  • Certification in EMDR, EFT, IFS is an asset.
  • Experience using Janeapp is an asset.
  • Training in trauma, child therapy, marriage & family therapy, or EMDR (preferred)
  • French language an asset
  • Other languages an asset

Availability & Hours

There are different shifts available including:

  • Daytime Monday through Friday from 9-2pm
  • Evening Monday through Friday from 3-9pm
  • Weekends 8-4pm

Expected hours: 15 – 30 per week

  • Hybrid remote in Kanata and Richmond, ON (Must be able to reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work)
  • Kanata Office: 260 Hearst Way, Unit #315, Kanata, Ontario
  • Richmond Office: Inside the Richmond Medical Clinic, Unit #2 6265 Perth Street, Richmond, Ontario
